Spider-Man Doesn’t Wear Underwear Either

There’s been a rash of news about superheroes going commando under their costumes and I’m here to tell you I’ll be giving this surprising trend 24 hour coverage. Following Mark Ruffalo’s claim that Scarlett Johansson went without underwear during her shoot comes news that Andrew Garfield did the same in The Amazing Spider-Man.

“It’s just me [under there]. It’s terrifying,” the British star tells Ellen DeGeneres during his Tuesday interview, after the Ellen host asked about his nicker situation — or lack thereof.

And despite him being male, the Social Network star admits that he’s shy about his body just like his female friends.

“One of the first nights we were out in location in downtown L.A. in a parking structure and I knew there were paparazzi taking terrible, unflattering shots of my, you know, everything,” he tells DeGeneres. “Knowing that your keester is being shot from many different angles makes you very uncomfortable.” Us

Little did he know that the unflattering shots weren’t of his ass but of him looking like he was getting raped by one of the criminals he was chasing. That must be when Spider-Man gave up crime fighting to become a male prostitute. That no underwear thing really worked out for him.
