Rather than drag this thing out like Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are doing for their 72 days of marriage, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have already agreed to and signed a divorce settlement avoiding a long drawn out battle over Suri.
“The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed,” Holmes’ attorney told E! News. “We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life.
“We thank Tom’s counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution.”
No details yet about the agreement but reports are saying Katie gets primary custody of Suri in New York while Tom gets “meaningful contact” with Suri. No word on what rights Scientology gets to the chosen one but it’s not like it matters. Volcano aliens don’t follow human law.
Update: According to chatter on Crazy Days and Nights, the deal is for $100M with money from the prenup, primary custody and no unsupervised Scientology visitations. Though I don’t have a source besides that one so take this with a grain of salt.
