Warner Bros. has green lit the Entourage movie. It’s going to be epic, bro. All the main characters will be reprising their original roles because what else do they have to do? It’s not like their busy starring in movies.
The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin, who wrote the screenplay and who exec produced the series with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. Deals are starting to be made with Adrian Grenier, who played Chase, Kevin Connolly, who played his manager Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon, who played the actor’s brother Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara, who played their entrepreneurial driver Turtle, and Jeremy Piven, who played the show’s iconic type A talent agent Ari Gold. I’m sure Drama’s agent Lloyd (Rex Lee), E’s girl Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), his management partner Scott (Scott Caan), and their quirky director collaborator Billy Walsh (Rhys Coiro) and Ari’s agency partner Barbara Miller (Beverly D’Angelo) will all be in the mix, along with a swarm of real Hollywood talent, playing themselves. There’s not a lot of info about the plot but wouldn’t it be amazing if they did something original like if Vincent Chase got a script everyone loved and they spend a third of the movie trying to get the movie made and then something happens and then they can’t get the movie made and then Johnny Drama was all like, “Hey, what about me?,” and Ari was all like “Suck my d*ck,” and then magically they solve their problems and get the movie made and then they’re all like, “Let’s RAGE, bros!” You know, something we’ve never seen before.
Props for the awesome analysis of every season of the show. Ever.
