Fergie, real name Stacy Ann Ferguson, will soon be known as Fergie, real name Fergie Duhamel. The Black Eyed Peas singer is petitioning the court after four and a half years of marriage to legally change her name to Fergie Duhamel.
According to papers, she wants the name change in order to “conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years.” No doubt as a preventative measure to not being the butt of Stacy’s mom jokes after she pops that baby out. *Starts humming*
For this to happen, she needs to publish a notice in a local newspaper for four consecutive weeks like Ron Artest had to do when he became Metta World Peace. And then sacrifice a virgin to the head of her record label.
