At a warm-up gig for his Messiah Complex tour, Russell Brand talked about how he wanted to become a monk after splitting from Katy Perry in an effort to stop having sex with women. That wasn’t the intriguing part though. That came when he said he thought about different people while having sex with Katy Perry.
“When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk. When you’re a monk, you’re not allowed to have sex with anyone.
“When you’re married, it’s one person. That’s one more than a monk. It’s not that different.
“I’d be having sex thinking, ‘Think of anyone, anyone else.’ “
This probably did wonders for Katy Perry’s ego. Girls love it when they ask you in the middle of sex, “Waaaatcha thiiinkin?,” and you say, “Sooomeone eeelse.” Nothing gets them hotter.
