Days after James Gandolfini’s untimely death, John Travolta has come out and vowed to look after Gandolfini’s family which includes his wife Deborah Lin, 8-year-old daughter Liliana and 13-year-old son Michael from a previous marriage.
Travolta told Good Morning America that his father sold tires to Gandolfini’s father and that Travolta was his inspiration to get into the business. “He would see pictures of me on the wall from movies and he decided that he wanted to be an actor.”
He explained, “My goal is to make sure that his family is OK. His little boy, I watched him grow up, and his brand new little girl. We’ll just make sure they’re taken care of. That’s the whole idea.”
Their unlikely friendship was solidified after James stayed by his side after the death of his son. “After a week I said, ‘Jim you can really, you can, you know, we’ll be fine. I’ve got a lot of support here.’ But the idea that in our profession someone would go out of their way and not want to leave you until he felt you were OK, that’s the kind of soul that James Gandolfini was.”
*Looks into crystal ball* I see a lot of e-meters and reverse massages in their future. Hopefully Travolta won’t sit them down one day and ask, “Have you heard about our lord and savior L. Ron Hubbard?”
Holy s**t, James Gandolfini was gay?
If anything, he let Travolta blow him…still kinda gay.
