Jennifer Lopez Will Star in a Film About Those Chilean Miners

Last week during an in-studio radio interview with Washington D.C.’s Hot 99.5, one of Jennifer Lopez’s people pushed a phone in her face while she was talking with the host. At first she was kind of taken aback telling the dude that she was live. The host said that it was okay and they weren’t live so Lopez took the call. The host should know everyone is on Jenny’s time.

Turns out she got the role in a film. “I just got this movie I wanted! It’s a great role and a lot of people wanted it. For a little actress like me that’s a big deal!”

Today we find out the part she got was for the film The 33, about those 33 Chilean miners trapped for 69 days in a caved-in mine. She’ll star opposite Antonio Banderas, Martin Sheen and Rodrigo Santoro. This will be her first role since Parker and probably her most dramatic since, um, that bathtub scene with George Clooney. No word on which character she’ll play but my guess is it’ll be a female character. Just call me Nostradamus.
