A report from Russian news agency Interfax allege a Malaysia Airlines passenger jet carrying 295 passengers and crew was shot down above Eastern Ukraine. Ukraine’s Interior Ministry advisor says all aboard are dead.
The Boeing 777, Malaysia Airlines 17, was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was taken down with a ground-to-air missile near the Russian border. Interior Ministry advisor Anton Gerashchenko accused Ukrainian rebels of firing the missile.
Reuters says the plane was shot down after failing to enter Russian airspace when expected.
