With the unbelievable success of Sharknado leading to Sharknado 2, Syfy has been doubling down on its shark-themed movie sequels. The latest one being Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda, a followup to 2010’s Sharktopus from Roger Corman. Don’t know the backstory of Sharktopus? Not to worry. I don’t think it’s important but in case you wanted to know.
A half-shark, half-octopus creature created for the military, creates a whole lot of terror in Mexico while a scientist who helped created it tries to capture/kill it.
Now Sharktopus is fighting a half-pterodactyl/half-barracuda creature. This no doubt wildly successful movie will be followed up by Sharktopus vs. Mermantula which I can only guess is about a half-merman/half-tarantula creature. In short, 2014 is looking pret-ty good right about now.
