Time to imagine someone else in those fantasies of a Sherlock Holmes themed wedding, ladies. Benedict Cumberbatch is engaged to actress Sophie Hunter. The announcement was made in the births, deaths and marriages column of The Times.
The notice in the U.K. newspaper is headed Mr B.T. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter and simply says, “The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katherine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London.”
May I suggest some other single Sherlock Holmes for you to dream about? How about Robert Downey Jr. from the Sherlock Holmes films or Jonny Lee Miller from Elementary on NBC. Sure, both are married, but are they happy marriages?
