Kate Hudson Shaved Her Head

Kate Hudson meet Kristen Stewart. Like Stewart, Hudson shaved her head. This for a role in Sister. She’s a real actress now!

Sister is a movie directed by pop star Sia. Maddie Ziegler, that dancing girl from the Sia videos, also stars in it.

This is the first time I’ve heard of this movie. It’s an actual full-length feature, yet not on IMDB. So look for it on Hulu or some other streaming service in the future.

Given that Sia’s directing, my interest has been piqued. I hope she has lots of interpretive dancing by Ziegler. No clue what Hudson does, although given the movie’s title,  I’ll assume she’s Ziegler’s sibling who rediscovers herself through dance and overcomes her meth addiction. I pulled that plot out of my ass, but it sounds reasonable enough. Check out Hudson’s Instagram for a shot from the movie and be the judge.

Also, I just discovered this video with Hudson. She’s whispering into a microphone and cutting up different fabrics, all because of this ASMR thing. If you’ve never heard of ASMR, here’s a description:

“…the sounds and multimedia trigger a unique, supremely pleasurable feeling. Imagine a tuning fork going off at the base of your skull. The sensation — akin to a cool tingling — spreads like spilt liquid up into the back of the head, down the neck and into part of the back. It flows like a pulse, a physical feeling like a light on a dimmer switch being turned up, then back down.”

*complete silence*

How am I supposed to masturbate to Hudson ruffling fabric into a microphone? This just won’t do.

Back to Sia. On her directing debut, she said:

“I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I wanted to make a movie because I thought it would be seen as a vanity project because I was a singer. … And then last year, after I made the ‘Chandelier’ video, I realized that I was pretty good at directing, so I felt a little bit braver.”

“Chandelier” is an awesome video. Does Sia direct on set with that wig on the whole time? That would be odd. The oddest ones usually are the most talented though. Or, just really, really odd.
