A 21-year-old mother was sentenced to 16 years in prison after she plead guilty to manslaughter after having killed her newborn baby.
Tiona Rodriguez was 17 at the time when she was stopped in a Victoria’s Secret after security suspected her of shoplifting a pair of jeans. That’s when they noticed a stench coming from her bag. It was her newborn baby she had suffocated.
Cops found messages on her phone which lead them to believe this wasn’t an accident. “Take this s**t and dig a hole, put it somewhere, lol, then we go eat IHOP.”
Rodriguez had given birth to the 8 pound boy in the bathroom of her friend’s apartment and killed him. Then I guess she texted her friend with that because killing babies really builds up an appetite.
I actually have a lot of questions. First, why not bury the kid before going shopping? Second, why draw attention to yourself by shoplifting when you know you have a dead baby in your bag?
Having fucking common sense probably isn’t her strong suit because reports go on to say Rodriguez also had a child at 14. And also gave birth to another kid in 2010… which didn’t survive.
Which brings me to my third question. Did no one teach this kid about birth control or condoms? I think that’d have been really helpful after her first kid. And especially after her second kid. The court should probably just order her vagina sewn shut with that 16 years in prison.
