Verne Troyer had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he passed away over the weekend. The legal driving limit is .08. According to my math, three times that is .24. Given that he was half the size of a normal person, he should have been at .04. A 700 lb man can survive .24. Maybe.
According to TMZ, Troyer told the 911 dispatcher that he was suicidal. He was rushed to the hospital, but was unresponsive. Troyer was then transported to another hospital better suited to care for him when his organs started to fail. That’s when he got put on life support before being taken off it on Saturday.
Toxicology reports are still pending.
Troyer battled alcoholism for years. We all remember him getting drunk and pissing in a corner on The Surreal Life. Let’s just remember Verne at his peak.
