Geoffrey Owens Is the Richest Trader Joe’s Employee Ever
Former Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens was shamed for working a normal job because people online suck.
Jokes on them as Owens now has $25,000 and a television deal.
It all started with this tweet by Tyler Perry.

Owens wasn’t sure how to respond at first, thinking the offer was a joke as he has never met Perry. Owens told Entertainment Weekly, “I don’t necessarily feel comfortable being given things as a result of this. I’m not in a position to turn things down but … I like the idea of, you know, put me in the room with everyone else and see if I’m the right one for the job.”
Owens abandoned that thinking when Perry made a formal offer. Now Owens will appear on Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots for a 10-episode run.
Things got even better for Owens when Nicki Minaj gave him $25,000 out of the kindness of her heart. Minaj explained her reasoning on her radio show.
“Some people are on the internet and seeking attention, and he’s just the antithesis of that. So I felt like, ‘Oh my God, could you imagine?’ We all have done jobs like that and I just thought, what if that were me? Or a family member and they were minding their own business, working to feed their family and somebody tried to humiliate them? I don’t like the way that feels.”
I hope the person who initially posted this photo gets a cut of his newfound money. None of this happens if someone inside the store doesn’t out him.
