In fairness, many complaints are about The Joker getting an origin movie altogether. Most concede that Phoenix is an amazing actor who will crush the role.
As a non-comic book nerd who just likes good movies, I’ll give Phoenix a shot. The makeup has a realistic feel, which makes him scarier. And Phoenix is a proven nutcase who will probably crush the role.
I just feel bad for those in the movie will be sprayed by faygo.
