It only took 11 years, but American Idol’s Antonella Barba is finally relevant! Hooray! The last time she was in the news, it was for a bunch of pictures she took at a WWII memorial. In the grand scheme of things, they were pretty tame compared to 2018 where you could find those photos by following a hashtag on IG.
This time she’s back in the news for — drumroll please — dealing heroin! Now 31, Barba was charged with distributing more than 100 grams of heroin in Virginia. Which is sort of like winning American Idol. Except instead of a recording contract with a big label, it’s a 5 to 40 year stay in prison from a felony charge. So… I guess not really the same after all. Oh well, good luck, Barba.
