The Patriots Are Caught Up In Another Cheating Scandal!? I Am Shocked.

The New York Patriots are one of the most successful franchises in NFL history, and two decades of gridiron dominance have put them in the company of franchises like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers. They’ve accomplished this through a combination of talent, signing the dirtiest players in the league and cheating.

The Patriots lost their first home game in like two seasons on Sunday to the Chiefs which  lead to a fight in the stands. I’ll bet it was after the whistle, too.

While all of that was happening, the Patriots had a guy in Cincinnati cheating to help the Pats win next week. The Cincinnati Bengals are the worst team in the NFL with only a single win this season and still the Patriots felt the need to cheat, which tells you what they’re probably up to when they play an actual good team.

Here’s how CBS reported the incident.

Although the Patriots received permission from the Browns to put their crew in the pressbox, the team admitted that they didn’t reach out to the NFL or the Bengals for permission before they started filming. The situation became a controversy on Sunday when a Bengals employee noticed that the Patriots crew was taking video of action on the field, which is prohibited under NFL policy.

What a shock. Honestly, any other team in the league I would give the benefit of the doubt here. Even the Raiders. After all, why would the defending Super Bowl champions need to spy on the worst team in the league? But the Patriots have been caught up in so many cheating scandals before. Including one for doing exactly this. So when are there finally going to be some serious consequences to the Patriots organization for their systemic disregard of the rules?
