Leah Remini Says Sharon Osbourne is Actually Super Racist

When I heard that Sharon Osbourne was accused of wanting to get rid of Holly Robison Peete on The Talk because she’s “too ghetto,” I believed Osbourne’s denial. Not because I find it particularly hard to believe she’d be racist, just that I’ve never heard a British person say “ghetto” like that before. They call it “chav” over there.

Leah Remini had some very specific allegations of Osbourne using racist and homophobic language with her about her other co-hosts. Here’s what Remini told Yashir Ali, as the journalist published on his Substack newsletter.

According to Remini, in one exchange during the first season, Osbourne said of Chen: “I mean, who the f**k does slanty eyes think she is? She shouldn’t be pillow-talking with our boss.”

In another exchange, according to Remini, Osbourne said of Gilbert: “Why won’t the pussy licker do anything about the wonton?” and “Why won’t the fish eater be part of this discussion? She’s the fucking executive producer.”

Remini also says that Osbourne would refer to her as a WOP and Guinea which are ethnic slurs used against Italians.

That’s really something right there. I don’t know why Remini would lie about this, especially with the Church of Scientology poring over her every word in order to discredit her.

Remember at the top of this story when I said I’d never heard a British person say ghetto? Well, I’m a pundit but Yashir Ali is a journalist, and he mentions he dug up clips of Osbourne calling both Remini and Peete “ghetto” on The Talk, which contradicts Osbourne’s claim that she had never used the word that way.

I should mention Ali also printed a comment from Osbourne’s people denying the whole thing.

The only thing worse than a disgruntled former employee is a disgruntled former talk show host. For 11 years Sharon has been kind, collegial and friendly with her hosts as evidenced by throwing them parties, inviting them to her home in the UK and other gestures of kindness too many to name. Sharon is disappointed but unfazed and hardly surprised by the lies, the recasting of history and the bitterness coming out at this moment. She will survive this, as she always has and her heart will remain open and good, because she refuses to let others take her down. She thanks her family, friends and fans for standing by her and knowing her true nature.

Ali’s piece is really worth reading if you’re interested in this whole issue, he’s done a lot of research into other incidents Osbourne has had over the years.

But here’s my take-away. Sharon a Osbourne has apparently been terrible for decades and it seems like everyone at CBS knew it. I find it beyond hilarious that after all of that, the thing that CBS deemed a bridge too far was being friends with Piers Morgan.
