Florence Pugh Really Hates Olivia Wilde
The Florence Pugh versus Olivia Wilde feud is the fire that never goes out. The Wrap claims Pugh won’t do any press for Don’t Worry Darling except for a brief callout. This gives rumors of Pugh’s unhappiness towards Wilde a lot of validity.
Her rep says Pugh’s too busy filming other movies to promote Wilde’s movie.
Florence has been in Budapest filming ‘Dune 2’ and before that filming ‘Oppenheimer…She will be in Venice for the premiere coming off a night shoot in Budapest.
An anonymous executive told The Wrap Pugh will “be doing greetings” from the set of Dune. In other words, Pugh’s gonna FaceTime promotions for a $20 million movie.
Pugh has been rumored to be unhappy with Wilde’s alleged affair with Harry Styles when she wasn’t separated yet from Jason Sudeikis.
In late July, Page Six reported why.
I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry.
Sounds like not only was Pugh unhappy about it, on-set members also felt uncomfortable. While they saw Wilde hanging all over Styles, Sudeikis was also visiting from time to time with their kids.
Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable.
For Wilde, she’s done nothing but compliment Pugh, which makes me think she’s trying too hard because she knows Pugh is right.
About Pugh, she said:
She was really a great supporter of his [Harry Styles] as someone who was newer to a film set. And he was such a great supporter of hers, as someone who understood it was her film.
Wilde had also complimented Pugh in an Instagram post.

Yet, for all of Wilde’s compliments, Pugh hasn’t said anything nice about Wilde. She didn’t even like that Instagram post! Either Pugh is a diva or Wilde is a snake and Pugh’s not gonna fall for her fake flattery.
Don’t Worry Darling has had more press about its behind the scenes gossip than the actual movie.
You had Wilde getting served custody papers onstage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. There’s also these Pugh versus Wilde stories everywhere. On top of that, there’s been controversy about Pugh’s salary compared to Styles’ salary.
Pugh allegedly received $700,000 for her part. Pugh has received acting awards almost yearly since getting the 2014 Best British Newcomer from BFI London Film Festival.
Meanwhile, Styles supposedly received $2.5 million for exactly zero acting nominations.
Wilde denies any salary differences, at least of this magnitude.
There has been a lot out there that I largely don’t pay attention to. But the absurdity of invented clickbait and subsequent reaction regarding a nonexistent pay disparity between our lead and supporting actors really upset me. I’m a woman who has been in this business for over 20 years, and it’s something that I have fought for myself and others, especially being a director. There is absolutely no validity to those claims
Pugh is way too classy to air all her dirty laundry and her complaints. Read through the lines though and we can only conclude that it’s all true.
