Kevin Costner is apparently on a heartless revenge mission against soon-to-be ex-wife Christine Baumgartner. Sources spill Costner aims to make the 49-year-old handbag designer’s life “a living hell” after she filed to end their 18-year marriage in May 2022.
Insiders say the Yellowstone star, 68, is out for humiliation and forcing Baumgartner to vacate their $145 million Santa Barbara estate. One insider said:
“He wants to humiliate her. This isn’t about the house, it’s about making Christine’s life a living hell for actually going through with the divorce.”
Baumgartner must leave the mansion by July 31 per court order. But sources say she wanted an amicable split for their kids Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13.
One insider tattled:
“It was Christine who wanted to make this transition peaceful for the sake of the children. Kevin has done the complete opposite.”
Costner is only offering Baumgartner $30,000 monthly for housing and $10,000 for moving expenses. But she argues that’s not enough for comparable digs in their posh community.

“He could have made this easy. He could have offered an amount that made it viable to continue living in the community, but he’s opted to punish her.”

Honestly, here’s hoping the legal throwdown leaves both these hot messes empty-handed. Maybe not Baumgartner as much as Costner. But she was spending $100,000 on cosmetic surgery according to Costner. Surely that money could go to their three kids. So, not as much sympathy for her, I’m sorry to say.
