Justin Bieber cancelled his appearance because of this

Justin Bieber was supposed to make an appearance on the long running German game show, Wetten Dass, last Saturday but abruptly cancelled after contestant, 23-year-old Samuel Koch, was injured in a stunt.

Koch (tee-hee), wearing “kangaroo” suspension boots, attempted to jump over four cars driven by his father. He made it over the first, but on the fourth, he didn’t jump high enough due to a boot malfunction and was hit, causing him to tumble over the car and hit the floor. Koch suffered multiple fractures and back injuries. While he had surgery on Sunday and his injuries are no longer life threatening, “he is in an extremely critical stage” and it’s unclear whether he’ll fully recover.

Bieber’s camp, wanting nothing to do with anything remotely controversial and because the show went off the air, cancelled his appearance. “Just wanted to let my people in Germany know I won’t be on Wetten Dass tonight as an accident has taken place and we all don’t think it is right to continue,” he tweeted. Adding, “Please pray for Samuel Koch & his family as we wait and hope for his health and safety…Some things are more important than putting on a show. We will be back, I promise.”

Why if I had a penny for every time I failed to avoid being hit by a car driven by my father, I’d have a quarter. I swear, you turn one of his shirts pink in the wash and he’ll never let it go.
