Chris Brown May Have Faked His Community Service

Remember when Chris Brown punched Rihanna in the face a few times and sent her to the hospital and then was sentenced to 180 days of community service as punishment? Also, remember how the Chris Brown defenders said to leave him alone because he paid his debt to society with the community service?

Well, turns out Chris may have faked his community service records. The DA is alleging Chris Brown lied when he claimed to have finished his community service. There’s at least one instance he swore he was picking up trash in Virginia when he was actually on a private jet to Cancun.

Bryan T. Norwood, Chief of Police in Richmond, VA, wrote a letter to the judge claiming Brown had completed 202 days of community service, only 180 of which were required. In the attached documents, Norwood said Brown frequently worked at Tappahannock Children’s Center, where Brown’s mom was once a directory, doing painting, window washing, floor waxing, grass cutting and trash picking, um, upping.

However, docs showed Brown was only supervised 9 or 10 times and was unsupervised all the other times. The detective assigned to oversee Brown’s community service was told she didn’t have to keep monitoring Brown at the Children’s center. Instead, the “times, location and types of duty were provided by Chris Brown’s mother.” Not only that, Chris’ lawyer gave the Richmond PD some shady instructions.

According to the docs, Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, “instructed” the lawyer for the Richmond PD on how to “handle” D.A. investigators’ questions about Chris’ community service.

The judge got suspicious when the DA couldn’t find any “credible, competent or verifiable evidence” that Brown did 180 days of community service.

Meanwhile, TMZ is being told that there’s no way Chris could have done community service on some of the days because he was out of the country performing at concerts.

The D.A. calls Chris’ documentation “at best sloppy … and at worst fraudulent reporting.”

The D.A. is asking the judge to reject Chris’ alleged Virginia community service hours and make him fulfill his obligation in L.A. County.

By the way, the D.A. claims Chris’ mom was responsible for orchestrating work at the Children’s Center outside of normal operating hours and a key administrator told the D.A. she NEVER saw Chris perform any work at the center.

So you mean to tell me that Chris Brown, who punched his girlfriend in the face a bunch of times for looking at his cell phone, who got into a fight with Frank Ocean at a recording studio, who violated his probation by testing positive for pot and who threw a chair through a window at Good Morning America, may not be as virtuous a man as we all believed him to be? I’m shocked! Just. Shocked!
