Tupac Shakur is Still Alive, Says Suge Knight

Tupac Shakur’s murder has been the subject of a lot of speculation on subjects from who killed him to is he actually secretly alive. The belief that he faked his own death for some reason was spurred on by the release of a number of posthumous cash grab albums comprised of unreleased material he’d recorded before dying or compilations of material from his five studio albums. Suge Knight, who was shot in the same drive-by that killed Shakur, told Ice T and Soledad O’Brien that he thinks Tupac is still alive.

TMZ revealed the footage from the upcoming Fox special Who Killed Biggie & Tupac? In it, Knight says he believes Tupac is alive because he was doing so well when Knight saw him in the hospital.

Suge Knight has said a lot of things over the years about Tupac, most recently that the shooters were Death Row Records chief of security Reggie Wright Jr. and Knight’s ex-wife Sharitha, in an attempt to gain control of the company. Other suspects include Puff Daddy, Notorious BIG, the FBI and Suge Knight himself, who is pretty much considered a suspect any time a rapper is shot.

Knight talked to O’Brien and Ice T from prison, where he’s awaiting trial for murder and attempted murder, which sort of lends credence to the theory that he killed Biggie or Tupac or both of them himself. The program TMZ’s footage is from, Who Killed Biggie & Tupac?, airs Sunday at 8 on Fox and will probably not have any definite answers, although my money is on Courtney Love.
