Michael Bublé’s Chris Brown Joke Didn’t Go Over Well

Michael Bublé kicked off his third annual Christmas special with some friendly jokes about his fellow singers. Before singing classics with Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige, he went through a monologue which a bunch of people aren’t happy with now.

Miley Cyrus said I should start the show by twerking in an elf outfit, Justin Bieber said I should drive 140 mph through a residential zone, and Chris Brown told me if I did either of those things he would punch me in the face.

The backlash started on Twitter where Chris Brown supporters and advocates against domestic violence criticized the joke. Except, you have to remember that Rihanna isn’t the only person Chris Brown punched in the face so one could make the argument that this was less a joke about domestic violence and more a joke about Chris Brown’s love of punching people. The Chris Brown apologists on the other hand? Yea, who cares what they think. Anyway, tough crowd. Yeesh. This is worse than the time Rihanna picked up Chris Brown’s phone.

Good joke – anyone defending Brown or saying this joke is about domestic violence is a moron. Chris Brown deserves every bit of criticism and jokes thrown his way.

You have _got_ to be kidding me.

Chris Brown and his bunch of whining supporters can go eat rocks, or beat each other up, or whatever they need to do.
