Belle Knox, the Duke Porn Star, Went on ‘The View’ to Talk About Empowerment

I haven’t done much coverage of the Duke porn star, Belle Knox, mostly because it’s just another college porn star. There’s a lot of them out there (Evelyn Lin back in the day anyone?). The only difference here is she was outed (they usually are) by some frat guy with a subscription to a facial abuse website. In turn, Knox penned an essay talking about porn and female empowerment and feminism and yawn. Point being, she showed up on The View yesterday to talk about those exact issues.

It’s not surprising to learn she loves sex. It is surprising, however, that she keeps talking about feeling empowered in light of this video spliced together by Efukt (very NSFW) showing how strange it is that she labels herself a feminist and would do facial abuse videos.

To be fair, Knox did explain on The View that empowerment and degradation is completely subjective. So what she’s saying is she’s taking back the power by giving away her power. Freely. Of her own will. That’s a really roundabout way of fighting for women’s rights.
