Jerry Seinfeld tells NBC’s Brian Williams that he thinks he has some form of autism.
“I think on a very drawn-out scale, I think I’m on the spectrum,” said Seinfeld. “Basic social engagement is really a struggle. I’m very literal, when people talk to me and they use expressions, sometimes I don’t know what they’re saying. But I don’t see it as– as dysfunctional. I just think of it as an alternate mindset.”
Yea, no. That’s not autism. That’s just being socially retarded combined with a short attention span.
Though if you think about it, that could explain why he’s so fond of observational humor. He’s not commenting on the absurdity of it all. He really wants to know. What’s the deal?! Why are you all laughing?!
You might want to do a bit of research on autism before you make claims as to what is and isn’t autism.
