Brad Pitt Under Investigation for Child Abuse

Well, this kinda sucks. The LAPD and L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services are investigating alleged physical and verbal abuse committed by Brad Pitt against his children. Which kid? There are six.

Supposedly, this is what spurred Angelina Jolie to file for divorce.

It happened last Wednesday. Pitt and Jolie were on their private jet into Los Angeles. Pitt allegedly got super drunk and according to TMZ, he “went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids.” That’s abuse? Sounds like a father just trying to connect with his children. You know, once they reach their teens, they’re so hard to reach.

Pitt’s drunken behavior continued onto the tarmac where he was ranting and trying to get into one of the fuel trucks. George Clooney would never do this.

Someone reported the incident, or SNITCHED, on Brad and that set off the investigation by the DCFS and LAPD.

The whole TMZ story comes from an anonymous source, probably one of hundreds. Interesting that TMZ says Pitt got “physical” with them. They don’t say he hit them. “Getting physical” is so broad and open to interpretation. Not to immediately take sides, but could this source be trying to make this sound like more than it was? You never know.

Pitt’s source, meanwhile, told TMZ that Brad “takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children.”

This will get messy. It’s too bad these two can’t consciously uncouple and avoid this drama.
