Justin Bieber found a new way to hate his job of being a well-loved pop star.
In Birmingham, England, Bieber asked his fans to stop screaming. If he were in an elevator or his private home, this might be a reasonable request. But Bieber was at a rock concert, on stage, performing for rabid tweens, where screaming is typically acceptable.
Trying to tell a story between songs, Bieber kept getting interrupted by the noise from the audience. Like telling a 4-year-old to use her “indoor voice,” Bieber said, “I get it, I get it, but I’m, like, two feet away from you. And I can hear you. I appreciate all the love, it’s amazing. But can you show it in a different way? Screaming is just so obnoxious.”
Though his request was polite, he went on to claim he felt like he “wasn’t being heard.” Yes, the boy onstage with a microphone was not getting his proper attention. He requested again that they quietly listen to his tale. Fans, being unaware that they were apparently at a Bieber story slam, mostly calmed down. A few brave souls booed and some kept screaming anyway.

It isn’t new for Justin to have disdain for his fans. He’s stopped doing meet and greets because meeting his excitable child fans is too depressing. Oh Bieber, how we morn for thee. The poor soul who has people so excited to see him they can’t stop screaming. Don’t worry Justin, people will stop caring about you very, very soon.
