‘Arrested Development’ Season 5 Might Actually Happen, Probably Won’t Actually Be Good

Arrested Development

If your life doesn’t already have enough disappointment, then get ready for a new slapdash season of Arrested Development.

Netflix released the fourth season of Arrested Development years after the original Fox season was canceled. That four season debuted to mixed reviews, mostly because people were too sad to say that the new season of Arrested Development was really shitty. But, if you love garbage green screen, terrible wigs, and tons of obvious ADR, you’re in luck cause that fifth season is just around the corner.

According to Brian Grazer, the entire cast has signed on and Netflix really wants more episodes. “I think we’re really close to pulling it off finally,” Grazer told TheWrap on Wednesday. “All of the actors have agreed to do it and I think they’ve agreed to their compensation structure. That’s been the hardest–it’s all hard…But it should be happening soon.”

Originally, the season was meant to go into production this month, but that is clearly not happening.

Perhaps we can just watch the episodes of the show we already have and enjoy those, instead of ruining the legacy of a great TV show with more overly clever, not actually funny new episodes.
