France’s Iris Mittenaere, the new Miss Universe 2017, is only the second Miss France to ever win the title. Considering usually all of the women who compete in these things look like relatives of Carmen Carrera from Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and it’s often pretty hard to tell 70% of them apart, here’s some stuff to know to help you out.
Mittenare is 24 and studying dental surgery, because what’s hotter than somebody who can walk, wear dresses, and also give you a root canal? She also loves to cook, and has bragged about her skills in the kitchen. I mean, she’s French. If you can’t cook, don’t they kick you out?
Maybe she should also be a politician, because when asked how she feels about countries having either open or closed borders, she gave a pretty open ended answer that expresses no personal opinion.
“The country should have the right to open or close their borders,” she said. “In Europe we have open borders. In France we have the most globalization that we can, we want to have the biggest exchange of people that we can. Maybe someday that will change, but now we have open borders.”
Considering France is trying to ban Muslim women from covering themselves every three weeks, that’s not actually that accurate.
But let’s be real, she’s here because a bunch of judges decided she was the hottest. Not because she understands the evils of the world. That’s for uggos to worry about.
