‘Always Sunny’ May Lose the D.E.N.N.I.S. System

This is the worst news ever.

Glenn Howerton has just signed onto a new NBC pilot with Patton Oswalt and says the season 12 finale may be it for Dennis Reynolds’ run on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

Nooooo.

He says there will be an extended hiatus between seasons 12 and 13 too even though it has been renewed through season 14, which is quite frankly more bad news than I can take at this point in time.

Howerton told The Wrap:

“The option to come back is there, is in place,” he said. “It’s very much a creative decision.”

Ugh.

“I want to service the show as best I can, and if we decide the best thing for the show is for Dennis to leave, or at least leave for a while for whatever reasons we come up with, then that’s what we’ll do. If we decide it really is best for the show for my character to come back in some capacity then that’s what we’ll do.”

Not gonna lie, I am excited to see what those crazy motherfuckers come up with. Whatever it is, you know it’s gonna be insane.
