‘Fast and Furious’ Franchise Spinning Off The Rock and Jason Statham

Fate of the Furious has already made half a billion dollars worldwide. It’s been in theaters for like a week. When you’re a movie franchise with a license to print money, you do spin-off movies so you can print even more money.

And that’s exactly what Universal plans to do with The Rock and Jason Statham.

The idea is for Johnson’s U.S. Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs to form an unlikely alliance with Statham’s Decker Shaw for a movie that conceivably could be made while they are figuring the next Fast film.

Yes to all of this. More Fast movies. More movies with The Rock. More movies with Jason Statham. In fact, The Rock and Jason Statham should be in every movie ever made from here on it. Even if they just pop in to punch someone in the face or deliver a witty one-liner. They should be in every movie ever.

If you disagree, we’re not friends.

Not much is known about the potential spin-offs, but what more is there to say? It’s going to star The Rock and Jason Statham. It’s going to be from the same people that have brought you the greatest movie franchise ever. And it’s going to be amazing.

In fact, it’s going to be even better than the Fast franchise because The Rock won’t have to deal with any candy asses on set.
