Are You Even Surprised That Chrissy Teigen Was a Cheerleader?

I bet when she was in high school, Chrissy Teigen didn’t go for sensitive artist types. That didn’t stop her from marrying the soulful John Legend. He’s probably the kind of guy she used to make fun of in high school while she was dating the jocks. Now she’s making out with him for photo ops. I guess people change.

The 31-year-old model posted an old black and white photo of herself on Instagram. You can actually recognize her, she’s in the top row, second from the left.

Are you really surprised that Teigen was a cheerleader? That’s basically what she does right now for a living. To be fair, now she’s got the whole modeling career, posing for Esquire or whomever, but on Lip Sync Battle, she mostly shouts encouragement from the sidelines while being eye-candy. I’m not 100% sure what cheerleaders are supposed to do, but I think that’s it.

Teigen was probably inspired by a recent visit home to Snohomish, Washington. She and her husband visited her old high school, and did normal vacation things like throw the first pitch at a Seattle Mariners game. John Legend even found time to sing show tunes for the school choir because again, he is a sensitive artistic nerd who somehow married a cheerleader.
