Justin Bieber Takes a Break from Music to Sell Hotel Slippers

Well, it looks like Justin Bieber has found a new career niche: hotel slippers. Bieber isn’t doing much in the way of music right now, but he’s focusing on his fashion company “House of Drew” and developing products to sell. And he has actually done surprisingly well at taking on the travel/hospitality/comfort-wear industries with his latest merchandise.

Bieber’s company “House of Drew” (Drew is Bieber’s middle name) just debuted the white slippers that sport a yellow-smiley face with “drew” written underneath. Here’s how Bieber and his company’s website describes them:

“Super soft white slippers with the iconic smiley face design.”

“Perfect for drew house guests and anyone who enjoys slipping their feet into something cozy at the end of the day.”

And apparently, they’re only $4.99! Gotta say that these slippers have to be one of the cheapest celebrity designed/sponsored products currently out there. And the slippers are a huge hit; the company sold out in two days. They might not be everyone’s style, but I can definitely see the appeal of them, and given how cheap they are, I’m not surprised that they sold out so fast.

Naturally, I was quite curious to check out the site, as I had been thinking that this company might prove to be a positive turning point for Bieber. The site is pretty bare right now and the slippers are currently the only product advertised, but I figured he’s just getting started, and probably more stuff will be available soon.  Then I came to the “About Us” section of the site and unfortunately, it does reek of Justin Bieber’s personal brand of douchery:

“Drew House is a place where you can be yourself.
Blah blah blah blahsdbksjdfhl
Wear like you don’t care. Come chill. K. Bye.”

Goddamn it, Bieber. I was trying to really hard to like you, and then you had to write this drivel on your professional site. Why do you work so hard to remind everyone what a little dipshit you can be?
