I didn’t follow the buildup to the Jake Paul boxing match with Nate Robinson so I can’t tell you exactly how this circus act came to be. All I know is someone sanctioned a fight between a 36-year-old ex-NBA player who most likely had never set foot in a boxing ring against a 23-year-old YouTuber who has had at least 1 boxing match and has been training for at least a little while. Nevermind the grand canyon sized gap in ability, but Nate is 5’9” and at most 185 lbs while Jake Paul is 6’1” and probably 200 lbs on fight day.
Within the first 10 seconds, you could tell Nate had no idea what he was doing. His idea of boxing was to run over to Jake and hug him. As you can see, it didn’t work out.

After committing elder abuse, Jake began thinking he was one of the greatest boxers to step in the ring. He blurted out that he wanted to fight Conor McGregor or Dillon Dannis. Again, none of those people are boxers or in his weight class. He’d most likely lose regardless. If he really wanted to step up in competition, he could face a very large 6th grader next or we can just grab some random guy finishing up at Red Lobster.
