Chrissy Teigen is Leaving Twitter So Her Fans Will Just Have to Watch Her Be Insufferable on Instagram Now

Chrissy Teigen is sort of like if someone’s unironic “yas kween” tweet gained sentience and showed its boobs a lot. Fans of Teigen will have to get their fill of her on Instagram now because she’s leaving Twitter where she was popular for not liking Donald Trump.

For someone leaving Twitter, she made a lot of Tweets that are now gone. Why bother making a dozen tweets about why you’re quitting Twitter and then deactivate your account so no one can see them?

Here’s what she said, via The Daily Mail, who caught her tweets before she was gone.

‘Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends,’ she began.

‘But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something,’ she admitted.

This is self-important celebrity speak for “people finally caught on to my bullshit.” When someone says “there’s so much negativity,” what they mean “I’m supposed to be calling you an asshole, not getting called an asshole.”

‘My life goal is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me. I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not,’ wrote the star, referring to her frequent fiery Twitter exchanges.

‘My desire to be liked and fear of pissing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as! Live well, tweeters. Please know all I ever cared about was you!!!’

One of the big differences between Twitter and Instagram is that Instagram’s comments are a nightmare to navigate so people can’t really see when a million people dunk on you like they do on Twitter.

She can do her whole Gwyneth Paltrow thing with Kris Jenner all she wants over there and if anyone says anything, it’ll get lost in a sea of horrible UI choices.

I just hope between the time I finish writing this and when my editor reads and approves it she isn’t back on Twitter already.
