According to the Daily Mail, Lady Gaga went bankrupt after spending millions on costumes for her Monster’s Ball tour. Gaga went almost $3 million in debt during the 18 month 200 show tour. The surprising part was she had no idea. Because celebrities are idiots who don’t know how to manage money.
‘Other than that I put everything in the show, and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the Monster Ball. And it was funny because I didn’t know!
‘And I remember I called everybody and said, “Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five No. 1 singles” — and they said, “Well, you’re $3m in debt.” ‘
Aw, that’s cute. She thinks five No. 1 singles means an endless supply of cash. The tour eventually brought in $226 million though which made me real sad.
Lady Gaga said the main reason she didn’t know was because money isn’t that important to her. Must be nice. *Looks at pudding cup. Weeps*
Talking to the Financial Times, she says, “The only big things I’ve purchased are my dad’s heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary.” ‘And that was only because my dad had a Lady Gaga license plate on our old car and it was making me crazy because he was getting followed everywhere, so I bought him a new car.’ Oh and don’t forget, she probably built an orphanage and got new legs for Timmy too.
This is the exact reason why most celebrities are bankrupt after their 15 minutes are up. All of a sudden they have more money than they know what to do with and spend it on frivolous stuff like meat dresses or a fleet of Lambos. If someone ever talked to them about sound investments and building up their portfolio, they’d cover their ears, crumple to the ground and scream in pain.
