Stop the presses. Kim Kardashian just withdrew on a $153,000 offer for a one-hour appearance at an Australian horse racing event to go back to LA to deal with her divorce.
This is in stark contrast to the comments she made Wednesday during interviews in Australia. While plugging her new handbag line in Sydney, Kim told Australian morning show Sunrise that she wasn’t the type of person to renege on a deal.
“I really wanted to stick to my commitments to come out here,” she said. “I love our fan base out here. Of course I do really want some time to myself and it has been tough, but I didn’t wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment.” Fox
But she did bail. Right after she plugged her new handbags. The Swisse vitamins marquee at Saturday’s Stakes Day tried to get Khloe as a replacement but that fell through. Probably due to the weight (rim shot, please) of the situation.
In a statement to the Herald Sun, Kim said, “I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time.”
Of course. Everyone understands the toll 72 days of marriage takes on someone. 72 days. Why, that’s almost 3 months!
