Prince Hated the Kardashians Until His Dying Breath

Zooey Deschanel stopped by Conan O’Brien to talk about the time Prince guest starred on her show, New Girl. It turned into a story about Prince’s hatred for the Kardashians. Fun!

We all remember the time Prince told Kim to get her ass off the stage because she couldn’t dance. Now we learn Prince could really hold a grudge.

Prince’s cameo on New Girl took place in 2014 alongside cameos from L.A. Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw, swimsuit models Alessandra Ambrosio and Ana Beatriz Barros and almost a Kardashian.

Deschanel explained how it all came to be.

“And then one September day three years ago maybe I got an email from his manager saying he liked watching the show and wanted to come on.”

Things got a little awkward once Prince reviewed the script.

“Someone was friends with some of the Kardashians and had made a phone call and they had kindly come on to shoot a kind of cameo part,” Deschanel recalled. “It turns out that someone from Prince’s camp said ‘Who are the celebrities? I hope it’s not a Kardashian.'”

Prince’s distaste was so strong for the Kardashians that he had production assistants burn their portions of the script in a bonfire.

The Kardashians may not like Prince after hearing this story, but they sure do have to respect him for his commitment to hatred.
