Katy Perry Did More Than Kiss A Girl

Remember when Katy Perry kissed a girl. AND LIKED IT?!?!

Well, according to her, she did more than just kiss that girl. Speaking at a Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner, where he received the National Equality Award, Perry had the following to say about her first major hit.

“I’m just a singer-songwriter, honestly. I speak my truths, and I paint my fantasies into these little bite-size pop songs,” she began. “For instance, I kissed a girl and I liked it. Truth be told, I did more than that.”

Oh boy. Do you think she’ll have a follow up song called, “I Had Sex With A Girl and I Loved It”? It can’t be any worse than her new single.

Perry, who grew up in a very Christian family, continued to speak about being open with her feelings.

“What I did know is that I was curious, and even then, I knew sexuality wasn’t as black and white as this dress,” Perry said. “And honestly, I haven’t gotten all of it right, but in 2008, when that song came out, I knew that I had started a conversation that a lot of the world seemed curious enough to sing along to.”

She got one thing right. People sang the hell out of that song. It was honestly quite annoying.

Don’t most girls experiment in their life? They just don’t sing about it. Are we really glorifying Katy Perry for that song and acting like she bridged the gap between straight and gay? Denise Richards and Neve Campbell were making out in Wild Things 10 years before Perry was singing about it.
