Katy Perry Stands By Dr. Luke, Calls Kesha’s Lawsuit ‘Sour Grapes’
Ok…so it’s Katy Perry vs Kesha and Adele and Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato and Grimes *takes a breath* Taylor Swift and well, most everyone with a brain. Or am I somehow missing the point here? As far as I know, women were made to be pitted against one another.
Katy Perry, who owes all of her hit songs to Dr. Luke’s producing and songwriting efforts stands by him in his ongoing lawsuit with his other charge, Kesha. Perry, instead of standing in solidarity with her fellow pop-singer has pledged her allegiance and ignored Kesha’s attempts at outreach. Insult to injury.
But according to sources close to the case, Perry doesn’t think that the lawsuit is worth the paper its printed on, calling Kesha’s lawsuit “sour grapes,” apparently alluding to Kesha’s lack of talent.
This was all back in 2014 though at the start of this now 2-year long process of legal fees. What does Katy Perry think now? All this press and social relevance sure makes her look bad if she doesn’t support her woman at arms.
“women were made to be pitted against each other” – there are 7 billion people, with most of them identifying as male or female… But by your reasoning if you happen to disagree with one of the approx. 3.5 billion people that happens to identify with the same gender as yourself, that equal genders pitted against themselves…
Kesha is suing to get out of her contract. This is a civil suit for financial reasons. This is not a criminal suit, nor has there ever been one. Why you might ask? Because Kesha has never filed criminal charges for rape against Dr. Luke. In fact, she claimed under oath in video depositions that no rape ever occurred. So it is on tape, under oath where she claimed it did not happen. So why bring that crap up now? you bring up good points. the bottom line is no one knows what happened but likelihood is on luke’s side. i would hope katy would do the right thing and support him publicly. her career would sadly suffer as a result but it’d be the right thing to do

Kesha’s stuff with Dr Luke is awful. His stuff with Katy Perry is great. Apparently Kesha is ok as a folkie but she’s lousy as a real popstar. Perry OTOH has some really EXCELLENT songs with Dr. Luke. And FWIW, Clarkson’s ONLY GOOD STUFF came when she worked with Dr. Luke. He’s super talented. The poptarts, not so much. Demi Lovato’s ONLY GOOD SONG “Cool For The Summer” happened with Dr. Luke. Kesha’s mother “PEBA” is also completely nuts. And this is not the first time Kesha has lied.
