Bette Midler Responds to Kim Kardashian’s Request for Her Nudes
My, how the mighty hath fallen. If you missed it earlier this week, Kim Kardashian posted a year old nude to her Twitter account in another outrageous publicity stunt. The people fell victim to her trap, and Bette Midler, who was once a respectable feminist deity, jumped fast on the train to shame her.

Kim clapped back hard with a request for Bette’s nudes…. and Bette kindly obliged, but added that Kim should use her celebrity for a better cause.

Good idea, Bette. Liberating billions of women from the demonization of the female body just isn’t going to do it. Put some money where your mouth is, Kim.

I’m not sure what posting nude selfies does to liberate billions of women. It seems like if that were the case, leaders like Aun San Suu Kyi could have saved themselves a lot of work and persecution.
