George and Amal Clooney Pop Two Out

George Clooney has been married to his impressive wife Amal Alamuddin since 2014, but the venerable actor and his wife just had their first kids.

What’s that you say? You think George Clooney is a sexy beast? You may be right, but at 56, he’s practically a senior citizen. The two-time “People’s Sexiest Man Alive” is now the father of not one, but two babies, Ella and Alexander.

He seems really happy about it. Since he started opening up about fatherhood, he’s been caught staring off into space and grinning like a maniac. The arrival of his kids hasn’t abated his glee.

Celebrities started coming out of the woodwork to give their two cents. Longtime pal Matt Damon said:

“I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him.”

The couple has stayed out of the limelight as much as possible since the pregnancy. Clooney is basically Hollywood royalty, so out of the limelight means only doing occasional interviews. Still, now the hard part comes, the actual raising of the kids. Clooney makes everything look so cool and effortless, so there’s no way he’s not going to be a great dad, right?

Wrong. At least according to his fictional on-screen kids. Amara Miller, who played his daughter in The Descendants, once said about Clooney:

“[He] wouldn’t be good as a father. He wouldn’t be the best as a father…George has fun being an adult, and I don’t think he would like having kids.”

Damn kid, that’s ice-cold. Time will tell if Clooney decides to step up and show his pre-teen punk co-star what he can do.
