Jim Carrey Gave Ex-Girlfriend Drugs, STDs, and Death

Jim Carrey made headlines the other week when he decided to shave his manly beard. Now, we may have a reason. Carrey did it in an attempt to hide in plain sight from his past that includes ex-girlfriend Cat White killing herself in 2015.

This is the letter allegedly written by White in 2013, accusing Carrey of giving her STDs and introducing her to drugs and abuse.

“This is what I want, you gave me hsv and hpv, I want you to apologize for it because you care enough to. I want you to understand that however little a thing that seems to you, it ruins a girls life. I want you to take care when you are with other girls and pay attention to your body your actions effect people. I don’t want to be disrespected like you have been doing. Before you I might now have had very much but I had respect, I was a happy person, I loved life, I was confident and I felt good in my skin and was proud of most decisions I made. I met you, you introduced me to cocaine, prostitutes, mental abuse and disease. You did good things for me but being with you broke me down as a person Jm. I was promised Jekyll and instead I got Hyde. Because I love you I would have stuck out Hyde all year and done everything he wanted to be with Jekyll for 5 of those but you threw me away when you absorbed anything worthwhile that was left of me”

Grammar aside, there’s a lot to unpack in this letter and none of it looks good for one of America’s favorite comedians.

Right now, Carrey and White’s family, including her estranged husband, Mark Burton, and her mother, Brigid Sweetman, are engaged in what projects to be a nasty court battle. White’s family sued Carrey for wrongful death, claiming he used a fake name to obtain the drugs Carrey overdosed on. Carrey has countersued, claiming extortion.

I’m not a lawyer and won’t pretend to play one behind a keyboard, but this looks bad for Carrey. Even if White’s family is just trying to get money out of him, this letter paints him in an extremely negative light. Worse than Dumb and Dumber Too.

Maybe they should have held off on that Man on the Moon documentary that shows Carrey acting like a psycho on a movie set, huh?
