Good looks and hard work. That’s how Gisele Bundchen became famous. Not like the models of today, who just go on Instagram and become famous.
Speaking to Vogue, the 37-year-old model took a dig at the Instagram models of today.
“It’s not my generation — I have to be honest about that. I’m older, wiser. If I had to promote myself in the way girls modeling now have to do, forget it. I wouldn’t do it.
This was viewed as a shot at Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, two models who became famous due to their social media follower account. Gisele went on to state that she only has an Instagram account because of her sister and that if it were up to her, there would be no selfies.
“If it was me, it would only be pictures of sunsets.”
Sounds like the most boring Instagram account ever.
Not wanting fans to get the wrong idea, she later clarified her comments on Twitter.

In other words, the social media savvy fans of Jenner and Hadid got all up in Bundchen’s comments.
Gisele isn’t the first supermodel to take a stand against those who became famous via the selfie. Karolina Kurkova didn’t think they would last, Chrissy Teigen feels inadequate to Instagram models, and Rebecca Romijn didn’t believe Jenner and Hadid were “true models.”
The only way to settle this is a WWE-style lingerie pillow fight.
