Rihanna Is Richer Than Beyonce

Rihanna is now worth $600 million according to Forbes. That’s more than Madonna ($570M), more than Celine Dion ($450M) and, surprisingly, more than Beyonce ($400M). How did Rihanna quietly become the world’s richest female musician? Hint: It wasn’t with music.

Rihanna and French luxury goods brand LVMH have enjoyed a fruitful partnership having launched Fenty Beauty in 2017. In its first few weeks, it reported $100 million in sales. It bucked the trend by releasing 40 shades of foundation while others only had a few. Last year, it generated an estimated $570 million in revenue. This makes up the large chunk of her net worth.

Apart from her beauty line, Rihanna also co-owns Savage X Fenty lingerie. In May, LVMH and Rihanna announced Fenty, a high-end clothing, shoe, accessories and jewelry house. Much like her beauty line, it’ll be inclusive with sizes going up to a US 14.

Without a doubt partnering with LVMH is what propelled her to the top of the beauty iceberg. What they’ve done by combining Rihanna’s image with inclusive product lines marketed towards everyone rather than just middle-class and white was a genius gamble.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown is still a piece of s**t.
