Jessica Simpson Says John Mayer Was Obsessed with Her Sexually

Jessica Simpson says John Mayer called her “sexual napalm” because he thought she liked that. Turns out, no, she didn’t.

After Simpson’s divorce from Nick Lachey, Mayer made his move and things moved quickly from the start. According to TooFab, she shares in her new autobiography Open Book:

“He loved me in the way that he could and I loved that love for a very long time, too long. And I went back and forth with it for a long time. But it did control me.”

From there, things start to get into 50 Shades of Grey territory. Simpson divulges that she often felt inadequate in their relationship, claiming that Mayer:

“Again and again … told me he was obsessed with me, sexually and emotionally. I was so afraid of disappointing him that I couldn’t even text him without having someone check my grammar and spelling,”

The last straw to their on-again off-again relationship was when Mayer told Playboy that Simpson was “sexual napalm.” Simpson lamented:

“He thought that was what I wanted to be called. I was floored and embarrassed that my grandmother was actually gonna read that. A woman and how they are in bed, is not something that is ever talked about. It was shocking. I erased his number. He made it easy for me to walk away.”

Mayer has a history of being a playboy and somewhat of a womanizer, so none of this really comes as a shock.

It seems like the Mayer episode was a really dark time in her life, but the former pop star appears to have bounced back fine. She’s been married to NFL player Eric Johnson since 2014, and the two have three kids together.

Simpson hasn’t released an album since 2010, but she keeps herself busy with a wildly popular fashion line.

As for Mayer, we all got tired of listening to him sing about high school, and he slunk back to whatever hole he came from in the first place.
