I Believe Drew Barrymore When She Says She’s Never Had Cosmetic Surgery

TMZ has a recurring poll on celebs called “Good Genes or Good Docs” where you’re invited to speculate on if a celebrity looks so good because of good living or if they’ve had work done.

It’s always that they’ve had work done. They all claim that they haven’t had work done, but celebrities also started looking younger right around the time Botox came on the market.

Drew Barrymore is the latest celeb to claim she’s never had any work done. Here’s what she said on her show, via Page Six.

“I’ve never done anything to my face and I would like to try not to,” the 45-year-old actress said during an episode of her talk show, “The Drew Barrymore Show,” adding, “Never say never.”

Barrymore pointed to her personality as part of the reason she’s reluctant to go under the knife.

“The thing that I do care about and I do feel is still relevant to my life is the face. I know myself. I’m a highly addictive person. I do one injection, I’m going to look like Jocelyn Wildenstein by Friday,” she joked, referencing the socialite who’s famously spent millions on multiple cosmetic surgeries.

Here’s why I believe Drew Barrymore when she says she’s avoided it when I don’t believe almost any other celeb who makes the same claim: Drew is about to turn 46 and she looks like she’s in her mid-40s.

I don’t mean it in a bad way, I’m not being mean, she’s still a beautiful woman, but if you had to guess her age based on what she looks like, you’d guess she was in her 40s.

Jennifer Lopez also claims to have never had work done and is five years older than Drew Barrymore.

She doesn’t actually look like she’s 51, does she?

It’s never genes or good living, folks. And I respect Drew Barrymore for accepting aging and doing it gracefully.
