Jim Carrey Says He Didn’t Give STDs to His Dead Girlfriend

According to a revised complaint in a wrongful death suit surrounding Jim Carrey’s late girlfriend Cathriona White’s fatal overdose, Carrey not only gave her the pills, but several STD’s.

The lawsuit was filed by White’s husband Mark Burton, who was not exactly on good terms with her. Jim Carrey denies everything, and says that White stole the pills from him.

“Is this the way a ‘husband’ honors the memory of his ‘wife?’ The real disease here is greed, shameful greed!” Carrey said in a statement Friday.

However, documents obtained by PEOPLE claim that Carrey not only gave her STD’s in 2013, but threatened her into silence, only for them to later reconcile. The documents include this letter from White to Carrey:

“I am 27-years-old and all that was left of me was a shell and a damaged one at that. Picking myself back up emotionally and mentally is one thing… Add in disease. How does someone move on and meet someone new?… I will always be damaged goods and have a stigma attached. So I have to accept something I was always afraid of. Being alone. Being abandoned and alone.”

They split a week before her death and everyone from Jim Carrey to Scientology has taken the blame. It has even been alleged that her marriage was fake in order to bypass immigration laws.

I said it once and I’mma say it again, this is a mess, y’all.
