Jerry Seinfeld is Grumpy About The Kardashians

Jerry Seinfeld, not content to be in the news for supporting Kathy Griffin and refusing to hug Kesha, is at it again. This time, he’s taking an old-man-yelling-at-kids-from-his-porch stance, declaring that he hates Keeping Up With The  Kardashians. Apparently, his daughter likes watching it on her phone when she’s in bed.

“The one time I really, really got upset was when my daughter was watching the Kardashians on her phone in her bed and I could not take that scene.

What’s his beef? He’s saying that they don’t do anything. Well, I wouldn’t say they don’t do ANYTHING. They do manage to sound like spoiled brats.

“For someone who for their whole life, television was the Olympics of being a comedian. It was only for the very best. You had to have everything. You had to go through all the different hierarchies of your career to get to television.”

“I’m offended by reality television on many levels and that show of course is the premier example of reality television. These people are not doing anything interesting. I lost my temper with that one.”

I just had to laugh when Seinfeld was chastising the Kardashians for their not doing anything. That was the whole premise of his show! It was about NOTHING! He’s lucky the show ran before cell phones became ubiquitous because every single plot could have been resolved in the first three minutes.

Granted – I do agree with him that the Kardashians suck and their shows serve absolutely no purpose, but they have also been on the air for quite a while. This is a little late on the uptake, buddy… Maybe if you said something about… oh… a decade ago?

If he wants to control what shows she watches about nothing, then he should make her watch his show.
